Called binbin in Senegal, belly necklaces are extremely popular jewelry in West Africa.

Traditionally, they are objects of seduction worn by women in their privacy. 

Today, these jewels have become beauty accessories you can find in markets or on the beach, made by women who tailor the treasures of Senegalese crafts. 

Inspired by these necklaces that I love to wear, I decided to create a jewelry brand in France, in partnership with women from my country of heart.

With AWA I am proud to work closely with women who are the true artisans of these jewels, in order to value their know-how and to pay them fairly. Thus we have thought of each piece of jewelry together, and have intertwined our creativity to create a collection of belly necklaces that we hope you will like.
