La Maison Rose
La Maison Rose is a shelter for women who have suffered violence, young children and teenagers.
In addition to its mission of emergency shelter and specific support for victims
- it accompanies young women in the creation of their professional project, allowing them to gain confidence in their ability to be independent but also to reintegrate into society;
- it provides schooling for abused children placed by the justice system;
- it promotes actions of prevention, equal opportunities, citizenship, tolerance and dialogue.
La Maison Rose works in close collaboration with public and private services authorized to provide health, social and legal care, as well as with the communities.
La Maison Rose architecture fully contributes to the success of the work that is done there by offering a friendly environment that favors the development of its inhabitants.
The children, teenagers and women taking in have sometimes lived so much in fear and insecurity that this house is a safe haven for them.
This intimacy reassures them and allows them to loosen the mechanisms of resistance and protection that they had put in place.
Each one has his or her own history and suffering, but living "together" does not compartmentalize them into specific categories and their diversity becomes an opportunity. The group moves forward in a work that is both individual and collective.
